Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has taken action against senior women’s team head coach Vidyut Jaisimha after a video of him drinking alcohol in the team bus surfaced on social media.
Jaisimha will stay away from cricket
Jaisimha has been banned from participating in any cricket activities on behalf of HCA during the investigation. HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao addressed the issue in a letter to Jaisimha, citing an anonymous email received on February 15 that contained videos of him carrying and drinking alcohol on the team bus with the Hyderabad State team. Expressing serious concern over the matter, he demanded a thorough investigation and any decision should be taken based on the outcome of the investigation. During the interim period of the investigation, Jagan Mohan Rao directed Jaisimha to abstain from involvement in any cricket activities on behalf of HCA.
misbehavior with female players
The controversy started with allegations that the coach misbehaved with the female cricketers during a bus journey from Hyderabad to Vijayawada four days ago. Jaisimha allegedly consumed alcohol and made obscene comments during the trip, allegations that he was encouraged by Purnima Rao. Women cricketers have demanded action against both Jaisimha and Purnima Rao.
