All the fans are eagerly waiting for the final match of ICC ODI World Cup 2023. This title match between host India and Australia will be played on 19 November at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both the teams have reached Ahmedabad to participate in this match. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on the pitch. There has been a lot of discussion about the pitch before the last few matches of the Indian team, in which before the semi-final match against New Zealand, the ICC had also given its clarification on the controversy regarding the pitch. Now regarding the final match, the pitch curator of Ahmedabad Stadium has given a big update on the pitch to be used in the match.

How is the pitch going to be?

According to the report of news agency PTI regarding this final match to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, at present it is not clear whether a new pitch will be used for the final or this match will be played on the already used pitch. The groundsmen are preparing the pitch for the title match under the supervision of BCCI Chief Pitch Curator Ashish Bhowmik and his deputy Taposh Chatterjee. According to a curator of the state association, if heavy rollers were used on a black soil pitch, a slow batting pitch would be created where big scores could be made but hitting could not be done consistently. The score of 315 runs can be defended. In such a situation, it will be a bit difficult for the team chasing the target to bat in the second innings.

Four matches have been played here so far in this tournament.

So far, four matches have been played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the World Cup 2023, in which not even once has the score been seen exceeding 300 runs. The highest score of the tournament here was made in the match played between Australia and England, in which the Kangaroo team scored 286 runs while playing first, while later they also won the match by 33 runs. Apart from this, India had won the match played against Pakistan by 7 wickets. Before the final match, apart from Indian captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid also reached the stadium on Friday and inspected the pitch closely.
