ICC Test Rankings Update: At present two very special test series are being played in the world. While on one hand Pakistani team is on tour of Australia, on the other hand Team India is in South Africa. Pakistani team has lost the first two matches of the three-Test series, while Team India has lost the first match of the two-Test series. Both the teams will now take the field again for the last match from January 3. Meanwhile, Team India is at number one in the ICC rankings, but it seems that soon it will have to move from here. The special thing is that the Indian team which is currently at number one, can slip down to not second but third place. On the other hand, the condition of Pakistan is very bad.

Team India is currently number one in ICC test rankings.

The Test rankings were updated by the ICC on 22 December. At that time the Indian team was occupying the number one position with 118 points. Australia also had 118 points, but had to be content with number two. After this, England is at number three with 115 points and South Africa is at number four with 104 points. After this, Australia and Team India have played one more match.

ICC’s Test ranking has not been updated after December 22

Although the ranking has not been updated by the ICC till now, but if we go to the predictor, we find that after winning two matches against Pakistan, Australia’s points become 119, that is, this team is on the number one position. It reaches. At the same time, after losing the first match to South Africa, the Indian team comes directly to number three with 114 points. The England team could be at second place, which already has 115 points. At the same time, South Africa has 110 points and this team can be seen at number four.

Team India can still reach second place, but will have to defeat South Africa.

Now if Team India has to come from third place to first or second place then what will it have to do. The first thing is that even if the Pakistani team wins the third and last match, the Indian team will not get much benefit. Australia will remain at number one position with 118 points. But after defeating South Africa, while Team India will be successful in saving the series, the Indian team can reach second place with 117 points. England team will remain at number three. But if Team India loses the last match then it will be left with only 112 points and the team will remain at third position. This much i.e. 112 points will go to South Africa, this team will remain in fourth place. If we talk about Pakistan, the team is at sixth position with 92 points in the ranking released on December 22. Even if the Pakistani team wins the last match, it will have only 92 points and the team will remain in sixth place. It is believed that after the results of both the matches starting from January 3, it is possible that a new Test ranking will be released by the ICC, this will make all the equations completely clear.
