IND vs AFG: Rohit Sharma returns in T20I, these players did not get a chance in the playing eleven

IND vs AFG 1st T20I Mohali : The T20 series between India and Afghanistan has started. Although this series is of only three matches, but it is considered very important for the World Cup 2024. That means Shubman Gill will be seen handling the responsibility of opening along with captain Rohit Sharma. Sanju Samson has also not got a place. Jitesh Sharma has been given a chance as wicket keeper.

Not only is Shivam Dubey an all-rounder in the playing eleven of Team India, Akshar Patel and Washington Sundar both have got a place. Both of them are adept at bowling as well as batting. Kuldeep Yadav has not got a place as a specialist spinner, Ravi Bishnoi has been given a chance in his place. A total of three spinners have been kept in the team. Also, there are two fast bowlers in the form of Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar and if needed, Shivam Dubey can also be made to bowl a few overs.

Afghanistan’s playing eleven: Rehmanullah Gurbaz (wicketkeeper), Ibrahim Zadran (captain), Rahmat Shah, Azmatullah Umarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Karim Janat, Gulbadin Naib, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Naveen-ul-Haq, Mujeeb ur Rehman.
