Due to the return of Virat Kohli in the second T20 match being played against Afghanistan, Tilak Verma has been dropped from the playing 11. He did not do anything special in the first match of the series. In such a situation, it was almost certain that he could be dropped from the playing 11. Apart from this, another change has been made in the Indian team. Yashasvi Jaiswal has got a chance to play in this match in place of Shubman Gill. Yashasvi Jaiswal could not play in the first match of the series due to injury. In such a situation, Gill got a chance to open.

Virat Kohli’s return

Indian star batsman Virat Kohli played his last T20 match against England in the year 2022 during the T20 World Cup. Since then he was out of the T20 squad, but in the Afghanistan series, he was once again brought back into the team along with Rohit Sharma. Virat could not play the first match of the series due to personal reasons.
