In the match, Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. But Team India had bowled out South Africa for 55 runs in the first innings of the Cape Town Test match. For India, Siraj spent 15 runs in 9 overs and took 6 wickets. Whereas, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar got 2-2 wickets. In response, Team India also could not do much and was all out for 153 runs in its first innings. At the end of the first day’s play at stumps, Africa had scored 62 runs for three wickets in their second innings.

African team collapsed in the first session of the second day

When the second day’s play started, the South African team was behind by 36 runs. After this, Aiden Markram took over the team’s innings and scored a brilliant century. But the process of falling wickets continued from the other end. The South African team was all out after scoring 176 runs in the second innings. In such a situation, Team India had a target of 79 runs to win this match, which the Indian team easily achieved by losing 3 wickets.
