India A vs England Lions: The second unofficial Test match is being played between India A and England Lions at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The first unofficial test match ended in a draw. But in this match, India A team has gained hold from the very first day of play. Let us tell you that this is a four-day match.
Indian bowlers wreaked havoc
In this match, England Lions’ decision to bat first after winning the toss backfired and the Indian bowlers bowled out the visiting team for just 152 runs in 52.4 overs. Akash Deep bowled brilliantly by taking four wickets for 46 runs. On the other hand, Yash Dayal (two wickets for 14 runs) and off-spinner Washington Sundar (two wickets for 25 runs) took two wickets each. The top scorer for England Lions was Oliver Price. He scored 48 runs in 81 balls. But seven batsmen of England Lions could not go above 10 runs due to which no big partnership was formed.
Devdutt Padikkal gave a good start
In response to the first innings of England Lions, the pair of Devdutt Padikkal and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran did not face any problem in facing the England bowlers. Due to which India A scored 150 runs without losing any wicket till stumps. India A is now just two runs behind England Lions and has tightened the noose in the match. Devdutt Padikkal is playing unbeaten on 92 runs. At the same time, captain Abhimanyu Easwaran has scored unbeaten 53 runs in 96 balls.
