Indian women’s team vs England women’s team

The first match of the one-off Test series is being played between the Indian women’s team and the England women’s team at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. Team India had decided to bat first after winning the toss in this match. After this, when the first day’s play ended, India had scored 410 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. This is the second time in women’s Test history that a team has scored more than 400 runs in a single day of play. For India, in the first day’s play, Shubha Satish played brilliant innings of 69 runs and Jemimah Rodriguez played brilliant innings of 68 runs.

India became the second team after England to do so

In the history of women’s Test cricket, the record of scoring more than 400 runs in a one-day game before India was in the name of England women’s team. In the year 1935, in the Christchurch Test match between England women’s team and New Zealand women’s team, a total of 475 runs were scored in the first day’s play. The Indian women’s team has now become the second team to do so by crossing the 400-run mark in the first day’s play of this Test. Apart from this, India has now come second after England in terms of scoring the most runs in women’s cricket in the first day’s play. England had declared their innings against New Zealand by scoring 431 runs in the first day’s play. Apart from this, Indian female player Shubha Satish has now become the third player to score the fastest half-century in Test cricket, in which she crossed her 50 runs mark in just 49 balls in this match.

Deepti and Yastika also showed amazing

On the first day of this test match against England women’s team, the opening pair of Indian team Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma definitely disappointed. However, after this, due to the excellent partnership between Shubha Satish and Jemima, Team India strengthened its hold on the first day. In the last session of the day, the partnership of more than 90 runs between Yastika Bhatia and Deepti Sharma played an important role in taking the score beyond 400. Yastika was out after scoring 66 runs in the first innings of this match. Whereas Deepti remained unbeaten till the end of the day’s play and by that time she had scored 60 runs.
