The auction for IPL 2024 is to be held on December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time that the IPL auction will be held in Dubai. But before that, all the teams have to submit the list of retained and released players to the IPL Governing Council today (by November 26). There is a lot of speculation regarding the purchase and release of players. Sometime from now, the list of players retained and released by all the teams will be revealed.
These players have been traded
Only three trades have been confirmed by the IPL website. Romario Shepherd has been traded by Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals have traded Avesh Khan to Lucknow Super Giants in exchange for Devdutt Padikkal. Shahbaz Ahmed and Mayank Dagar are the players who have been traded by RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
These players withdrew their names
Even before the IPL 2024 auction, players like Ben Stokes and Joe Root have withdrawn their names and these players have decided not to play the next season. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has released Dwayne Pretorius.
