The Senior Men’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the evening of 30 November announced the team for the three-format series to be played on the tour of South Africa. Along with this, the selectors have also announced the Indian A team for the two four-day matches to be played before the start of the Test series on this tour. The responsibility of captaining this team has been entrusted to wicketkeeper batsman KS Bharat, who is not a part of the team for the Test series. Different teams have been announced for both these matches, in which Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar have also been included in the second match.

If we talk about the Indian A team announced for the South Africa tour, Sarfaraz Khan and Sai Sudarshan have also been included in the team. Both these players have been seen performing brilliantly in domestic cricket for a long time. Apart from this, Devdutt Padikkal will also be a part of the team in the first match. If we talk about the second four-day unofficial Test match, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Verma, Washington Sundar, Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Navdeep Saini will also be a part of the team. Indian A team will play its first match from 11 to 14 December while the second match will be played from 26 to 29 December. The senior team will play its first match of the 2-match Test series on this tour from 26 to 30 December at the Centurion ground.
