Rishabh Pant on Car Accident: Team India’s star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant is returning from his injury and soon he can be seen playing for Team India. Pant has been away from professional cricket for a long time. Actually, Pant became the victim of a terrible car accident in December 2022. In which he suffered many serious injuries and from then till now the fans are eagerly waiting for Pant’s return. Pant gave statements on that car accident several times. During the horrific car accident in December 2022, Rishabh Pant felt that ‘his time in this world’ was over. Pant has spoken openly for the first time on the fatal car accident near Roorkee and said that he thought he was almost going to die after his Mercedes car caught fire after hitting the divider. Pant suffered a torn ligament in his right knee and two injuries on his forehead in the accident. Pant’s injury was so severe that this news shook the whole world.

Pant told Star Sports that for the first time in my life I felt that my time in this world was over. I was aware of the injuries during the accident but I was lucky as they could have been much more serious. I felt like someone had saved me. I asked the doctor how long it would take for me to recover. He said it would take 16 to 18 months. I knew I had to work hard to shorten this recovery time. Due to the accident, Pant had to undergo surgery in Mumbai and it is expected that he will make a comeback in the IPL. Pant is expected to lead Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL after being part of the franchise during the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai last year.
Rishabh Pant has a chance
If Pant performs well during the IPL to be played this year, then he can also be included in the squad for the T20 World Cup. This year the T20 World Cup is to be played in the month of June. In recent times, videos of Pant playing cricket and videos of him recovering have also surfaced. Due to which the fans are hopeful that Pant is close to making a strong comeback in Team India as soon as possible.
