Liton Das played a brilliant innings
In response, Bangladesh won by scoring 137 runs for five wickets in 18.4 overs and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Liton Das hit two fours and a six in his 36-ball innings. Mehdi Hasan provided good support to him in the last overs by scoring 19 not out. Soumya Sarkar contributed 22 runs. It was because of these players that Bangladesh easily chased the target. Mehdi Hasan was given the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his all-round performance.

Bangladesh has registered its first win in a T20 International match on New Zealand soil. Bangladesh has played 10 T20 matches so far on New Zealand soil, out of which it has lost 9 and won one match. Bangladesh team is in excellent form. Earlier, Bangladesh had registered its first win in limited overs cricket in this country by bowling out New Zealand for 98 runs in the third ODI.
