Rohit Sharma and Kagiso Rabada
For Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, the first Test on the South Africa tour was very bad with the bat. In the first match being played at the Centurion ground, while Rohit was out after scoring 5 runs in the first innings, he was out without opening the account in the second innings. Kagiso Rabada made him his victim in both the innings. For Rohit, playing Rabada in Tests has been seen as an inexplicable puzzle till now. In the second innings, Rabada bowled an outswing ball to Rohit which hit the off stump with a slight exit. Along with getting the wicket of Rohit, Rabada also made his place in a special club.
Rabada is the first bowler to dismiss Rohit for zero in all three formats.
Kagiso Rabada achieved a special milestone by dismissing Rohit for zero in the first Test, in which he has now become the first bowler to dismiss Rohit for a duck in all three Tests, ODI and T20. If we look at Rohit’s record against Rabada in Tests, it has been very poor so far, in which he has scored only 104 runs in 11 innings against Rabada and during this period he has lost his wicket 7 times. Rohit’s batting average of only 14.85 has been seen against Rabada.
Fifth African bowler to take 50 test wickets against India
In Test cricket, Kagiso Rabada became a part of a special club by taking the wicket of Rohit Sharma, in which he is now the fifth African bowler who has taken 50 wickets against India in Tests. Before Rabada, the names of Allan Donald, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Shaun Pollock have achieved this feat. In this, Steyn leads the list, who took a total of 65 wickets in the Test against India.
