Rahul Dravid’s big statement after historic series win
India vs England Test Series: Team India won the 5-match Test series played against England by 4-1. In this series, Team India had to face defeat in the first match. After this he surprised everyone by winning 4 consecutive matches. It became the third team in the history of cricket which won the series 4-1 after losing the first match of the Test series. After this historic victory, the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid gave a big statement.
Dravid’s big statement on series win against England
Speaking to the players in the dressing room after the memorable 4-1 series win, Rahul Dravid told the young players the importance of remaining united and playing as a unit to achieve victory in the difficult path of Test cricket. BCCI has shared a video on social media. In which Dravid said that the series has to be won like this and it is difficult. Sometimes test cricket is difficult. It’s tough on your skills, physically and mentally too, as you’ve seen.
Gurumantra given to young players
Important players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami and KL Rahul were not part of this series. The team got some young players in the series who played brilliantly. Five Indian players Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal, Sarfaraz Khan and Akash Deep made their debut in this series. The Indian coach seemed very happy with the excellent performance of the young players. He said that most of you young players will need each other to achieve success. Whether you are a batsman or a bowler, your success will be linked to the success of other players. You will all play a role in each other’s success. This is going to be very important going forward. It is not just about your success but how you help other players to achieve success as they will in turn help you in your success.
Dravid seemed happy with the fact that whenever players were under pressure, they kept finding ways out of it. He said that there were times in the series when we faced a tough challenge and fell behind but we found a way to come back which shows our skill, how much flexibility we have, our spirit. On many occasions in the series, the result of the match could have gone either way. But we always had players in the dressing room who stepped up and turned the game for us, it was fantastic.
