BCCI Awards 2024: The annual awards ceremony of the Board of Control for Cricket in India was organized in Hyderabad. BCCI Awards were organized for the first time in the year 2019. BCCI honored former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri with the CK Nayudu Life Time Achievement Award. This is the biggest award of BCCI. Apart from Ravi Shastri, former Indian player Farooq Engineer was also given the Life Time Achievement Award.

Ravi Shastri has played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India. During this period, he made Team India win many big matches. After retirement, he made his mark as a commentator. Not only this, Shastri has also been the head coach of Team India twice. He joined the national team as team director from 2014 to 2016 and then played the role of head coach under the captaincy of Virat Kohli from 2017 to the T20 World Cup in 2021. India performed best in Tests under his coach. Also won two consecutive test series in Australia. However, the team could not win any ICC tournament.
