Ravindra Jadeja played 35 international matches last year in which he scored 613 runs at an average of 30.65 and took 66 wickets. With this, Ravindra Jadeja has been the only player in the year 2023 who has scored more than 500 runs and taken more than 50 wickets in international cricket. Apart from Jadeja, Indian all-rounders Akshar Patel and Hardik Pandya also scored more than 500 runs last year, but they could not touch the 50 wicket mark.
Most wickets taken in the year 2023
Ravindra Jadeja was also the bowler who took the most international wickets in the year 2023. He took a total of 66 wickets in all three formats. Kuldeep Yadav is at second place in this list with 63 wickets. Australia’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc also took 63 wickets last year and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi took 62 wickets.
Might get a chance in the second test match
Ravindra Jadeja is currently on the tour of South Africa with Team India. But he could not play in the first match of the Test series due to stiffness in his upper back. However, he is now said to be fine. In such a situation, he may get a chance to play in the second test match.
