Pant is nervous before returning
Rishabh Pant is set to play his first competitive match against Punjab Kings in the IPL after 15 months on Saturday. But this captain of Delhi Capitals is going through a lot of emotions before this. After being seriously injured in a car accident, Pant is ready to take the field, for which he is excited but feeling a little nervous.
Rishabh Pant said this in the press conference
Rishabh Pant said in the press conference of the team’s first match of the season that I am nervous, excited, nervous, I am feeling all these but at the same time I am happy that I am back playing professional cricket. I am excited to play in my first match tomorrow. Pant knows that it will take time for him to get back into his old rhythm but he wants to concentrate on one match at a time. Talking about Delhi Capitals’ pre-season camp in Visakhapatnam, he said that every time I am taking the field, it feels very different. I want to bat for as long as I can and get better every day. I’m not thinking too far ahead, just taking one day at a time and giving my 100 percent.
Pant also wants to keep things simple for the team. He said that most of our conversations are very simple. We want to have fun on the field, not complicate things, give 100 percent in every match.
