The Indian team started the five-match T20 series against Australia with a win. Team India won the first match of the series played on the grounds of Visakhapatnam by 2 wickets. Now the second match of this series will be played on 26th November at Thiruvananthapuram ground. In the first match of the series, a brilliant inning of 80 runs was seen from the bat of Suryakumar Yadav, who was handling the responsibility of captaincy for the Indian team, after which now in the second match, Surya is eyeing a record which no Indian has achieved till now. Couldn’t succeed in doing.

Suryakumar Yadav can become the first Indian player in this case

In the ODI World Cup 2023, Suryakumar Yadav was not successful in giving any special performance with his bat, due to which he also had to face criticism. Suryakumar is currently ranked number-1 in the ICC T20 batting rankings and the reason behind this is his excellent performance in the last few matches. In the first T20 match against Australia, the Indian team could chase the target of 209 runs only on the basis of Surya’s inning of 80 runs in 42 balls. This was Surya’s third consecutive fifty in T20 International with his innings coming in the match against Australia. Before this match, Suryakumar had played his last 2 T20 matches on the West Indies tour, in which he had played consecutive half-century innings. Now, if Surya succeeds in scoring a half-century in the second T20 match against Australia, then he will become the first Indian player to score half-centuries in consecutive T20 matches.

Virat and Rohit managed to bowl three consecutive innings

So far, five players from Team India have managed to achieve the feat of scoring half-centuries in three consecutive innings in T20 International. In this, Virat Kohli is at number one who has achieved this feat in the year 2012, 2014 and 2016. After this there is Rohit Sharma who has done this in the year 2018. Whereas KL Rahul has achieved this feat in the year 2020 and 2021, while Shreyas Iyer also played half-century innings in three consecutive T20 International matches in the year 2022. Apart from this, Suryakumar Yadav has done this feat again after the year 2022.
