Preparations for IPL 2024 have started. While on one hand, big-ranking veterans of the teams are moving from one place to another, on the other hand, players have also started moving from one team to another. Some players had already been traded, but the information is now available. Even before the IPL teams release the retain and release lists of their respective players, the teams have already exchanged players among themselves. According to BCCI rules, teams can change players among themselves only till 19th November, now the news has come out that the teams of fast bowler Avesh Khan and opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal have also changed.

Devdutt and Avesh Khan’s IPL team changed

Fast bowler Avesh Khan is moving from Lucknow Super Giants to Rajasthan Royals. In return, RR’s top order batsman Devdutt Padikkal will come to LSG. Pacer Avesh Khan was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 10 crore in the 2022 mega auction. According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, now he will not be seen playing for this team in the next season. Whereas Rajasthan Royals had spent Rs 7.75 crore for Devdutt Padikkal. Despite a great start to their IPL careers, 2023 was a very bad time for both the players. Devdutt Padikkal In 28 matches from IPL 2022 to 2023, Padikkal scored 637 runs with just three half-centuries at an average of 23.59 and strike rate of 125.88. So now he has been traded to LSG. Lucknow Super Giants will be the third team for Devdutt Padikkal. Earlier he was associated with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Retain and release list of all teams will be released on 26th November

Fast bowler Avesh made his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals, after which he went to LSG and now he is going to Rajasthan Royals. He took 24 wickets in the 2022 season. Delhi Capitals had released him before the mega auction. After this, LSG had won him over by making a big bid, however, the year 2023 IPL did not go very well for Avesh Khan. He had taken only eight wickets in nine matches and had also spent a lot of runs. Earlier, LSG had traded its player Romario Shepherd to Mumbai Indians. Cricinfo report has revealed that the trade of these two players was done even before November 19. Now the last date for releasing the retain and release list of all the teams has been fixed as 26th November. After this, the list of new players and those who have been released will be released and then a mega auction will be organized in Dubai on 19th December. It is reported that this time Rs 5 crore more will be added to the purse of all the teams. This means that the entire purse of the teams will be Rs 100 crore.
