Let us tell you that Pakistan Cricket Board has made some new rules for giving NOC to its players participating in foreign T20 leagues after the ODI World Cup 2023.
Players angry with board’s policies
In the statement of a reliable source of PCB, according to PTI, he said that some players were unhappy with the board’s inconsistent policies regarding NOC given to players to play in foreign leagues. Let us tell you that apart from the International T20 League going on in UAE, the players of Pakistan team are also playing in Bangladesh Premier League. Apart from T20 team captain Shaheen Afridi, the prominent names of Babar Azam, Muhammad Hasnain, Ahmed Shahzad, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf are included. Let us tell you that the players of Pakistan team are requesting to extend the NOC because the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League is to start from 17th February. In such a situation, the players want to return to the country at that time only.
PCB made its stand clear
PCB has made its stand clear in this matter that it will not extend the NOC and all the players will have to return to the country after the period for which they were given permission to play in these leagues. In this, the PCB has given instructions to all the players included in the central contract and those who are not part of it, to return. The source in his statement has also accused the board of discrimination because while most of the players will return by February 7, some 11 and some are expected to return by February 16.
