The Indian team will face New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup 2023. This match between the two teams will be played on November 15 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Team India has seen very poor performance in the knockout stages of the last few ICC events. The team had to face defeat against New Zealand in the semi-final match of the 2019 World Cup. Now, regarding the semi-final match against the Kiwi team, Indian team’s head coach Rahul Dravid has given a big statement after the match against Netherlands.

We won’t change our approach, but this is a completely different match

Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid, while talking about the semi-final match against New Zealand on Star Sports, said that I think it would not be right to say that this is just a match, this is a semi-final match which has its own importance. However, our approach is not going to change at all regarding this match. We all know that this is a knockout match and we must accept that there will be some pressure in the semi-final match. All you can do is prepare your best and we are doing that.

Dravid praised Shreyas Iyer

During his conversation, Rahul Dravid also praised Shreyas Iyer, who played brilliantly against the Netherlands. Regarding Iyer’s performance, Dravid said that Shreyas is the backbone of our middle order and we all know how difficult it has been for us to find a better player at the number-4 position in the last 10 years. Let us tell you that till now the Indian team has played knockout matches against New Zealand thrice in different ICC events and has faced defeat in all of them.
