The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced the India A team for the second and third multi-day matches against England Lions. Recently, Rinku Singh, a player who has performed brilliantly in the Indian team, has been included in the team. Rinku Singh has been included only for the third match starting on February 1. Apart from Rinku, three other players have also been included in the squad. Let us tell you that two separate teams have been formed for two matches.

These players got a chance

India is set to host England in a five-match Test series starting January 25 in Hyderabad. Dhruv Jurel and KS Bharat are both part of the squad and are not in the India A squad for the remaining two matches in Ahmedabad. Bengal star Abhimanyu Easwaran is leading the India A team but Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan is not a part of the third multi-day match. Sarfaraz’s exclusion is a big surprise as the middle-order batsman is not part of the senior team for the England series despite scoring a half-century in the first practice match on Friday.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Kumar Kushagra from Jharkhand has been included in the India A squad for the first time. The wicketkeeper batsman was included in the IPL squad by Delhi Capitals last month. Capitals had spent Rs 7.20 crore for this emerging young player. Kushagra and Uttar Pradesh’s Upendra Yadav are the two wicketkeepers who have been named to replace KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel in the India A squad.
