This Indian player got a chance to debut in Dharamsala Test, 2 changes in Team India’s playing 11 – India TV Hindi

The last match of the 5-match Test series being played between India and England is being played in the beautiful stadium of Dharamshala, in which the England team decided to bat first after winning the toss. In this match, two major changes have been seen in the playing 11 of Team India, in which Devdutt Padikal has got a chance to debut in Test cricket. He has become the 314th player for the Indian team to play in this format. Apart from this, Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the team, who was rested in the fourth Test match and has been included in place of Akash Deep.

Devdutt Padikal was a part of India A team for a long time and his excellent performance was visible in domestic cricket also. Padikal has been included in the team in place of Rajat Patidar, who got a chance to play three matches in this series but could not show anything special with the bat. If we look at the record of Devdutt Padikal in domestic cricket, he has scored 2227 runs in 53 innings of 31 first-class matches at an average of 44.54, in which 6 centuries and 12 half-centuries have been seen with his bat. Padikal’s highest score in first class cricket is 193 runs. Left-handed batsman Padikal has previously played 2 T20 International matches, in which he has scored a total of 38 runs.

Patidar out due to injury

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma also revealed the reason for excluding Rajat Patidar from the playing 11 of the Dharamsala Test match at the time of the toss, in which he told that a day before this match, Patidar had got injured while practicing in the nets, due to which he was injured. Because of this he is not playing this match. There has also been a change in the England team for this match, in which Mark Wood has returned to the playing 11 in place of Ollie Robinson.
