Now this player has suddenly announced his retirement from international cricket. This player is none other than Gurkeerat Singh Mann. Made debut in year 2016

Gurkeerat Singh Mann, who played three ODI matches for India in the 2016 tour of Australia, on Friday announced his retirement from international and Indian cricket. Apart from batting in the middle order for India, Gurkeerat also bowled 10 overs as an off-spinner in the matches played against Australia. Due to being in and out of the Punjab team and not being able to play in the IPL since 2020, Gurkeerat decided to retire.

Gurkeerat wrote on Instagram about his retirement that today is the last day of my unforgettable cricket journey. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent India. I express my gratitude to my family, friends, coaches and fellow players for supporting me. You all played an important role in my career. Gurkeerat had performed brilliantly in the CK Nayudu Trophy played in the year 2011. After which people’s attention went towards him. After this, Gurkeerat showed a strong performance in Ranji Trophy 2015-16 and during that time he also scored a double century.

Before making his ODI debut, he was also included in the Test team for the home Test series played against South Africa, but he did not get a chance to debut for Team India at that time. In IPL, he has played for Punjab Kings, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gurkeerat was a part of the Gujarat Titans team in the year 2022, although he was not given a chance to play a single match by captain Hardik Pandya. If we take a look at his performance in IPL, he has scored 511 runs in 41 matches at a strike rate of 121. After retiring from Indian cricket, Gurkeerat can now try his luck in foreign T20 leagues.
