According to the information, researchers have found 11 thousand years old treasure at an archaeological site in Turkey. While digging, researchers have found human bones and some metal and jewelery wrapped in them. The name of the site where the discovery was made is Boncuklu Tarla Archaeological Site.
The investigation team told that the place where the newborn babies were buried. No ornaments or jewelery of any kind were found there. From this it becomes clear that at that time there was no tradition of body piercing of children. Archaeologist said that all these ornaments have been found next to the nose, ears and chin of the bones, which is a strong evidence that the tradition of piercing nose and ears has been going on since thousands of years ago.

Of the jewelery found in the discovery, 85 are in perfect condition and were made from limestone or river pebbles. Research also revealed that this jewelery was worn not only by women but also by men.
Dr. Emma Bassel, who was involved in the discovery, said that the tradition of piercing nose and ears, which is an important part of our lives today, had developed many years ago.
