A shark attacked a teenager while surfing in the Australian sea and killed him.

There was an outcry in the sea of South Australia when a 15-year-old teenager who was surfing was suddenly attacked by a shark. The shark quickly pounced on the surfing teenager and then dragged him to his death. People surfing in the sea and others present nearby got scared after seeing this scene. The surfer has died in this incident. This is the third fatality in a shark attack in South Australia in recent months. Giving this information, officials said that surfer Khai Cowley was attacked by a suspected white shark on Thursday.

The teen was surfing with his father at remote Ethel Beach on the Yorke Peninsula, west of his hometown of Adelaide, when he was attacked. Cowley was brought to shore after the shark attack but emergency services were unable to save him. Surfers also died in shark attacks in remote parts of South Australia in May and October. Their bodies could not be recovered. South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas said there have been 11 fatal shark attacks in the state’s waters since 2000. He told Nine Network television on Friday that the incidents since May were “shocking and worrying”.

Last February, a 16 year old girl was also killed by a shark.

Malinauskas said the government could not do more to make beaches safe outside Adelaide, the state capital and its most populous city. Outside the state, a 16-year-old girl died in a bull shark attack in a river in the west coast city of Perth in February 2023. Adelaide-based shark expert Andrew Fox said it was difficult to understand the reason for the increase in shark attacks in South Australia this year. He said Ethel Beach was cloudy on Thursday and these conditions may have provoked the shark to attack. (AP)
