A massive fire has broken out in a hospital in Italy. Many people have lost their lives due to this. A large number of people have also been seriously injured. At least four people died in a fire at a hospital on the outskirts of Italy’s capital Rome, while patients admitted there had to be shifted to other places. Officials gave this information on Saturday. The mayor’s office of Tivoli issued a statement saying that patients admitted to the intensive care unit of St. John the Evangelist Hospital were immediately transferred by ambulance to other hospitals.
According to the statement, less critical patients were kept in the civic body’s gymnasium before being shifted from other hospitals. According to the statement of the fire department, the fire incident occurred late on Friday night and by the time the fire was brought under control, four people had died. Tivoli is located 35 kilometers north-east of central Rome and is a popular tourist destination. It is known for the archaeological sites Villa d’Este and Villa Adriana which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. At present the cause of the fire has not been known.
