China Spy Balloon on Taiwan: A Chinese spy balloon was seen in the sky near the Pentagon in America, after which there was a lot of uproar. This balloon was destroyed by an American missile. Now a similar spy balloon was seen in the Taiwan Strait near China’s enemy Taiwan. The Taiwanese Defense Ministry has also confirmed that a Chinese military surveillance balloon was sighted in its territory.
First seen and then disappeared in the Pacific Ocean
Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said the balloon passed southwest of the northern port city of Keelung on Thursday night before heading east and possibly disappearing into the Pacific Ocean. Taiwan has threatened to shoot down such balloons, but the ministry did not say whether any action was taken in this matter.
The spy balloon was at a height of 21 thousand feet
He said that the balloon was seen flying at an altitude of about 6,400 meters (21,000 feet). It also said that 10 Chinese naval vessels and 26 Chinese military aircraft were detected in the 24 hours before 6 a.m. Friday. Of these, 15 planes crossed the median line, an unofficial boundary line between the two sides, but which Beijing does not acknowledge.
Had entered Taiwan’s airspace
Some aircraft also entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone outside its airspace. The ministry said Taiwan’s military monitored the situation using fighter planes, navy ships and land-based missile systems. China claims the self-ruled island and frequently uses such tactics to intimidate Taiwan, exhaust its military capabilities, and demoralize its armed forces and civilians.
