After Ukraine, now small country Austria also got into trouble with Russia, expelled 2 Russian diplomats – India TV Hindi

Vienna: After Ukraine, now another European country Austria has also messed with Putin. Austria said on Wednesday it had ordered two diplomats from the Russian embassy in the capital Vienna to leave the country. An Austrian official gave this information. He said that both the diplomats have been expelled for their involvement in espionage activities. The Foreign Ministry issued a brief statement saying that two Russian diplomats had been expelled because they had engaged in inappropriate conduct while in office.

It is alleged that he did not provide any further details about the diplomats or their alleged actions. Diplomats have been given until March 19 to leave Austria. An Austrian official with knowledge of the matter said the diplomats had been expelled from the country on spying charges. The officer has shared information about this on the condition of anonymity. The Russian Embassy in Austria issued a statement on its Telegram channel saying it was “displeased with the decision of the Austrian Foreign Ministry to expel two Russian Embassy employees from the country.”

The statement issued by the Russian Embassy said, “No evidence of any kind was presented regarding the expulsion of our diplomats.” There was also no evidence provided that the diplomats had violated the Vienna Convention. ‘This is a purely political decision by the Austrian authorities, which we clearly do not accept.’ (AP)
