America raised questions on fair elections in Pakistan

America on Pakistan Election: Elections in Pakistan were held in the shadow of violence and poor economy. Mobile phone service and internet remained closed throughout the day. Due to this, the common people and even the media failed to know the correct information about the elections. Despite this, people went to the polling stations and cast their votes. But except Nawaz Sharif’s party, all the parties raised questions on suspending mobile internet service and accused the government. Meanwhile, in the counting of votes, independent candidates who are considered to be supported by Imran Khan are leading. Amidst all this, America has accused Pakistan of political violence and violation of freedom of expression during elections and condemned the suspension of mobile internet service.

According to the information received, amid the counting of votes in Pakistan, US Congress lawmakers have condemned political violence, shutdown of cell phone services and restrictions on freedom. US Congresswoman Dina Titus has condemned the use of political violence and restrictions on freedom of expression in Pakistan. He described free and fair elections as the cornerstone of a functioning democracy.

According to the report of Pakistani newspaper ‘Dawn’, voting for the general elections took place in Pakistan amid allegations of rigging and closure of cellular and internet services. The voting process started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm.

Imran supported candidates are running ahead

According to media reports, Imran Khan’s party candidate is leading on 154 seats, while Nawaz Sharif’s party PML(N) and Bilawal Bhutto’s party PPP are leading on 47 seats each. Candidates from other parties are leading on four seats. Imran Khan’s party chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan has claimed that his party will stake claim to form the government.

Nawaz Sharif lost Mansehra seat, Shahbaz won from Lahore.

Shahbaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Sharif have won the elections from their respective seats. Shehbaz Sharif has won from Lahore’s PP-158 seat, while Maryam Nawaz has won from Lahore’s PP-159 seat.

Only 8 results announced so far

More than 13 hours after polling stations closed, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been able to announce only eight National Assembly results. According to the trends at 6 am, three out of eight seats have been won by candidates affiliated with PTI.
