Houthi and America in Red Sea: Along with the war between Israel and Hamas, Houthi rebels in the Red Sea have also messed with Israel and America. Houthi rebels, who were targeting merchant ships in the Red Sea, also targeted an American military ship. Since then, America has been attacking the Houthis. In the latest case, a US Navy destroyer has shot down a missile of Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.

According to the information received, a US Navy destroyer has successfully shot down an anti-ship missile fired by Yemen’s Houthi rebels in the Red Sea. This is the latest attack targeting US patrol forces on this sea route. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.

The US Army’s Central Command said in a statement that the attack was carried out late Tuesday night targeting the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Gravelly. However, ‘there were no casualties nor any damage reported in the attack.’ Brigadier General Yahya Sari, a military spokesman for the Houthi rebels, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement issued on Wednesday morning, calling it “a victory for the oppression of the Palestinian people and a response to US-British aggression against the country.”

Houthis had fired many missiles

Saari claimed the Houthi rebels fired ‘several’ missiles but the US Navy has not confirmed this. The Houthi rebels have also made exaggerated claims in the past, with their missiles sometimes being destroyed on the ground and failing to reach their targets. Houthi rebels also claimed on Monday, without evidence, that they had targeted the USS Lewis B. Puller.

The ship serves as a floating base for the Navy SEALs and others. However, America rejected the claim and said that no such attack took place. Houthi rebels also fired missiles at a commercial ship on Friday, due to which it caught fire.
