In such a situation, it is believed that the current President Joe Biden may once again face Trump in the 2024 elections on the lines of 2020. Donald Trump has presented a tough challenge to President Joe Biden by winning the New Hampshire GOP primary. Due to the former President’s landslide victory, the possibility of these two leaders clashing with Biden again for the presidency in November has become greater than ever. Trump’s main rival Nikki Haley stood second in this election. Biden did not campaign in the state or put his name on the ballot after New Hampshire flouted new party rules by holding its primary election before South Carolina.
How did Trump win in New Hampshire?
The Associated Press VoteCast showed Trump won big in small towns and rural communities, where nearly two-thirds of primary participants said they live. The majority of GOP voters in the state do not have college degrees and nearly two-thirds of them voted for Trump. The former president won nearly 7 in 10 Republican voters who identified as conservatives and who were registered Republicans. During this, Trump got 58,446 votes. While Nakki Haley got 49371 votes.
Biden also won New Hampshire
Along with Donald Trump, President Joe Biden has also won the elections in New Hampshire on behalf of the Democratic Party. The Associated Press has declared President Joe Biden the winner of New Hampshire’s Democratic primary, based on an analysis of early vote returns. Early returns from likely Democratic primary voters confirm the findings of the AP’s VoteCast survey, which found an overwhelming majority of voters supporting the incumbent president. Together they show that Biden has an unbeatable lead over the rest of the Democratic field. Biden decided not to put his name on the New Hampshire ballot because the state’s primary violates Democratic Party rules.
