The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced the visit of the Bhutanese leader from March 14 to 18 and said Tobgay will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet President Draupadi Murmu. The Prime Minister of Bhutan is also scheduled to visit Mumbai. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement “The visit of the Prime Minister of Bhutan will provide an opportunity to both sides to review the progress in our unique partnership and discuss ways and means of expanding the enduring ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Bhutan “

There will be talk on strengthening India-Bhutan relations

Tobgay will also be accompanied by a high-level delegation, which will include several of his cabinet colleagues and top officials. The Ministry of External Affairs said “India and Bhutan enjoy good relations of friendship and cooperation based on trust, goodwill and mutual understanding at all levels.” The statement said that during the visit, the Prime Minister of Bhutan will meet President Draupadi Murmu and hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of India.
