According to reports, Britain has assured that if Russia attacks Ukraine again in the future, Britain is committed to ‘quick and continuous’ assistance. Sunak also met with President Zelensky in Ukraine.

Sunak reached Ukraine tour

According to Politico’s report about the meeting of the top leaders of the two countries, Sunak arrived on Friday morning to visit Ukraine. He promised humanitarian aid and security guarantees, as well as £2.5 billion of military aid. The total assistance in Indian currency is more than Rs 2.64 trillion. During the war that has been going on for the last two years, Ukraine has vowed to foil the attack by the Russian army. Britain is helping Ukraine. After reaching Ukraine, Sunak said that he will stand with Ukraine even in its worst times.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar had talked to Ukrainian counterpart

It is noteworthy that amidst the war between Ukraine and Russia, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar had also discussed many issues with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba. According to reports, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Wednesday held “productive” talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on ways to take forward bilateral relations and exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The Foreign Minister had said on the social media app ‘X’, “A useful conversation today with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. Discussed taking forward our bilateral cooperation in the coming year. “Exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.”

It is noteworthy that the war between Ukraine and Russia is going on since 24 February 2022. In the first months, Russia destroyed Ukrainian cities. But later, on the strength of economic and arms help given to Ukraine by Western countries, Ukraine started retaliating against Russia. This game of ‘checkmate’ is still going on in the war.
