China Spy Ship: China’s ‘espionage’ is increasing in the Indian Ocean. In such a situation, Chinese ships which come in the name of research, have been stopping in Sri Lanka. India has expressed strong objection to the arrival of these ships. On this objection of India, Sri Lanka has refused to allow the Chinese ship to stop. For this reason China is angry. Chinese research ships keep moving in the Indian Ocean for ‘spying’, on which India has been strongly objecting. According to media reports, a decision was taken to stop Chinese research vessels from conducting studies in the country’s exclusive economic zone for one year from January 3, 2024. China has expressed dissatisfaction towards Sri Lanka on this decision. However, Sri Lanka has banned research ships not only from China but from all countries. But its impact will be on China only.

Considering India’s security concerns, Sri Lanka took the decision

The Chinese research ship Jiang Yang Hong 3 was coming for exploration in the South Indian Ocean. At such a time, Sri Lanka took this decision. The ship is officially owned by the Third Institute of Oceanography of the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources. Sri Lanka had taken this decision in view of India’s security concerns.

China is angry with Sri Lanka

Chinese officials seemed angry with this decision of Sri Lanka. The Chinese media spewed venom expressing its displeasure with Sri Lanka. When there was no place to stop the ship in Sri Lanka, China reached Maldives. Last week, China’s Jahal had stopped at the port of Maldives, which has now left Maldives. This ship is of 4500 tons. According to China, the Jiang Yang Hong 3 ship had stopped at the port for personnel rotation and replenishment.

Chinese ship returned

According to Maldives media reports, on February 22, Jiang Yang Hong stayed in 3rd floor. After staying here, he has once again returned to the border of the Exclusive Economic Zone of Maldives. Two days after leaving the port of Male, tracking websites still indicate the ship is close to the Maldives’ Hulhumale island.
