Chinese hackers can bring devastation to America
America China News: Tension continues between America and China. Both the countries are fighting for supremacy. Meanwhile, Christopher Ray, director of America’s federal investigation agency FBI, has warned that Chinese hackers can wreak havoc by attacking America’s important targets. The FBI director told the US Congressional Committee on the Chinese Communist Party that Chinese hackers have broken into America’s infrastructure. They can bring huge devastation to America and cause great harm to American citizens.
These places can be targeted
FBI Chief Wray said Chinese hackers could target water treatment plants, the electric grid and oil and natural gas pipelines. He said that this is a big threat to the security and prosperity of the country. The Chinese government had previously denied allegations of hacking in the US. Christopher Ray said that we have some weaknesses in terms of cyber security, due to which Chinese hackers have easily taken advantage of the flaws in the system and breached it.
This warning came amidst talks to reduce tension
The FBI director’s warning has come at a time when both the US and China are talking to reduce tensions. Recently, an important meeting was held in Bangkok between America’s National Security Advisor and his Chinese counterpart. This meeting lasted for about 12 hours, in which topics like Russia-Ukraine war, situation in West Asia, North Korea etc. were discussed. America is also trying to stop cyber attacks by Chinese hackers and for this many suspicious codes are being removed from the central device.
Both countries remain bitter
Tension continues between China and America. Recently, China has bluntly told America that it is not going to back down on the issue of Taiwan. During the two-day military talks between China and America in Washington, China presented its stand regarding Taiwan. The Chinese Defense Ministry clearly said that it will not compromise on the Taiwan issue. The Chinese military also urged America to stop supplying arms to Taiwan. China also asked America to reduce its military deployment and provocative actions in the South China Sea.
