Appeal to maintain surveillance
He said it is certain that cases have increased in other places as well which have not been reported. He appealed to governments to maintain surveillance and provide treatment and vaccines. Tedros said that the JN.1 form has become the most dominant form of the virus in the world. It originates from the omicron form of the virus.
WHO gave this advice
WHO officials have advised that people should get vaccinated, wear masks and ensure that there is good ventilation indoors. Maria Van blamed coronavirus, flu, rhinovirus and pneumonia for the rise in respiratory illnesses worldwide.
