Devotees wait long to visit Shiva temple in Dubai
UAE Hindu Temple: Shiv Temple located in Bur Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a 75 year old Hindu temple. There is disappointment among the people due to the removal of this temple from its place. This temple is so popular among the followers of Hindu religion that a large number of devotees come here every day for darshan. On holidays, 5 thousand people come here to visit in a single day. On festival days, up to 10 thousand people come here every day for darshan. In view of the large crowd, it has been decided to shift this ancient Shiva temple to another place.
Know where the temple is shifting
There is disappointment among the local people over the decision of the United Arab Emirates to relocate the 75-year-old Shiva temple complex. The temple management has asked all the devotees to visit the new Hindu temple built in Jebel Ali from January 2024. According to the report, the number of people visiting this temple reaches five thousand on holidays. Due to increase in crowd during festivals, police often face challenges in controlling the crowd. Therefore this temple is being shifted.
According to media reports, the temple management has confirmed that from January 3, 2024, the Shiv Temple complex located in Bur Dubai will be closed forever. Apart from this, Sindhi Guru Darbar complex will also be closed forever from January 3. All the devotees will have to come to the new Hindu temple built in Jebel Ali, which was constructed only last year.
Displeasure among local residents
There is disappointment and resentment among the people due to shifting of the temple to another place. Because there are about 600 small and big shops around the temple. These shops are completely dependent on the devotees coming here. A shopkeeper told that he spent his childhood in this temple complex. My grandmother used to weave garlands in this temple and gurudwara complex.
As soon as the transfer notice was pasted, there was disappointment among the people.
There is anger among the local community due to the notice pasted at the entrance of the temple complex. The notice states that the Shiva temple is being shifted to Jebel Ali temple from January 3, 2024. After the notice, there is a strong discussion about it in the local community. People are discussing and remembering their old days spent in the premises of this temple.
