Earthquake in Pakistan: An earthquake struck parts of Pakistan on Thursday afternoon. According to the information, an earthquake occurred in some parts of Pakistan on Thursday, the intensity of which was measured at 6 on the Richter scale. Meteorological Department gave this information. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in a post on ‘X’ that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan. The magnitude 6 earthquake struck at 2:20 pm (local time). Its center was in the Hindukush region at a depth of 213 kilometers. Since October last year, Afghanistan has been shaken twice by earthquakes of magnitude six and above.

The impact of the earthquake was more in the areas of Pakistan adjacent to Afghanistan. The area which is close to the Hindukush mountain range. Earthquake tremors were also felt along India’s border with Pakistan and in Kashmir. The earthquake caused tremors in the surrounding areas including Delhi NCR. People of Delhi NCR region felt strong tremors of earthquake at around 3 pm on Thursday. As soon as the earthquake struck, people came out of their homes out of fear. The epicenter of this earthquake is being said to be Hindukush mountain of Afghanistan. Earthquake tremors have also occurred in Pakistan. Where its intensity has been measured near 6

According to the information given by India’s National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of this earthquake that occurred in Delhi NCR was in Afghanistan. The intensity of this earthquake has been measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale and its center is said to be 220 kilometers below the ground. Earthquake tremors were also felt in Punjab, Poonch and Chandigarh of Jammu and Kashmir.
