An Indian elder had gone to America to meet his grandchildren. But little did they know that this meeting was going to be the last for the entire family including the old man and his grandchildren. When the elders reached Texas to visit their grandchildren, the children were overjoyed. There was a lot of discussion regarding family and other matters. This meeting of the old man with his grandchildren and other family members proved to be his last. All 6 members of the family were killed in a road accident. Everyone is surprised by this. According to the information, at least 6 people of a family of Indian origin, including 2 children, died in this horrific road accident in Texas. The officers provided this information. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the accident occurred Tuesday evening when a van and a truck collided head-on near Johnson County. The officer said that there were 7 people of the same family traveling in the van and only one person named Lokesh Potabathula (43) survived, he is seriously injured. DPS identified the van driver Wednesday as Rushil Barry, 28, of Irving.

These people died a painful death

Those who died in this family of Indian origin have been identified as Navina Potabathula (36), Nageswara Rao Ponnad (64), Seethamahalakshmi Ponnad (60), Karthik Potabathula (10) and Nishidha Potabathula (9). The Consulate General said the elderly man had come from India to meet his daughter Navina and grandchildren Karthik and Nishita. DPS is working with Georgia police to identify next of kin of the deceased, the official said. DPS investigators said the truck was traveling southbound on Highway 67 near County Road 1119, while the van was traveling northbound in the same area. He said that two 17-year-old boys traveling in the truck also suffered serious injuries and have been admitted to hospitals in Fort Barth. Highway 67 remained closed for several hours after the incident, but it was later opened to traffic, the official said. (Language)
