Earlier, Indian citizens could enter 57 countries without visa. Now Malaysia has also declared visa free entry for Indians.

Currently in Malaysia, citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Turkey, Jordan get this facility. Now India has also joined it. Malaysia has said to give free visa for 30 days to Indian citizens. However, Malaysia has opened this system to Chinese citizens also, which will be implemented from December 1. It is noteworthy that a statement by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has made it clear that this free visa exemption will be subject to security clearance. Earlier, China had announced a 15-day visa free policy for Malaysian citizens.

People traveling abroad increased by 1.30 crore in 9 years

According to statistics, the number of Indians traveling abroad increased from 1.4 to 2.7 crore in the last nine years. Although the tourism sector remained significantly affected due to the Covid pandemic, passenger movement in the tourist sector has started increasing again after the relaxation of lockdown restrictions.
