Rafah: The Israeli army is enraged by the actions of Hezbollah. Therefore, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has warned of immediate attack if Hezbollah is provoked. Alarmed by Hezbollah’s attacks, the Israeli army has issued its biggest warning yet to the terrorist group in neighboring Lebanon, saying it is “ready to attack immediately” if provoked. Along with this, the Israeli army mentioned the activities of Hezbollah on the northern border during the four-month-long war in Gaza and also admitted to carrying out several air strikes in Syria against this terrorist group.

“War is not our first priority, but we are certainly prepared,” Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said. Wherever there is Hezbollah, we will continue to take action, wherever there is need in West Asia, we will continue to take action. What is good for Lebanon is good for Syria and is good for most other remote places.” These comments came after the Defense Minister warned that a ceasefire against the extremist group Hamas in Gaza would be difficult. This does not mean that Israel will not attack Hezbollah if necessary.

Israel gave this proposal

Efforts are underway to extend the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas amid concerns of a wider war with Iran-backed groups in the region. Osama Hamdan, a top Hamas official, said they were studying the proposal made by the US, Egypt, Qatar and Israel and said Israel was accepting several conditions, including a permanent ceasefire. The war in Hamas-ruled Gaza has displaced 85 percent of its population. The Health Ministry in Gaza said on Saturday that 107 people had died in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of people killed so far in the war to 27,238.

More than 66,000 people have been injured. At least 17 people, including women and children, were killed in two separate air strikes overnight in Gaza’s southern Rafah city, according to the registration office of Abu Yusuf al-Najjar hospital. According to hospital officials, the first attack was carried out on a residential building in which at least 13 members of a family were killed. The dead include four women and three children. (AP)
