Pakistan Politics: After the election results, political turmoil has started in Pakistan. Amidst the beginning of manipulative politics to form an alliance, Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf or ‘PTI’ has announced that it will not form an alliance with Nawaz or Bilawal’s party. If not called to form the government then she will agree to sit in the opposition. According to the information, Imran Khan’s party PTI has clearly denied that they will not form any alliance with Nawaz Sharif’s party PML-N or Bilawal Bhutto’s party PPP for power. PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar Khan has denied any seat sharing talks with PML-N and PPP.

‘We will not form an alliance’, said Imran’s party

Barrister Gauhar Khan of Imran Khan’s party said that ‘they are trying to form a government by forming an alliance with other parties, but there is no intention of forming an alliance with both the parties.’ According to Pakistani media, Gauhar Khan said ‘We are not comfortable with both of them. It would be better if we sit in the opposition rather than forming a government with them. He said that if they are not successful in forming the government then they will play the role of a strong opposition.

Which parties is PTI in touch with to form government?

PTI is trying to form an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami. In the election results, Jamaat-e-Islami has got three seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Both the parties have been in alliance before also. However, in May 2018, Jamaat-e-Islami broke the alliance with PTI. PTI is also trying for alliance with Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen.

Alliance talks going on between PML-N and PPP

On the other hand, talks are going on between the parties of Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal to form the government. In the result, Imran Khan’s party has got 101 seats, which is the highest but they are far away from the majority figure of 133. Nawaz Sharif’s party PML-N has won 75 seats and PPP has won 54 seats. In such a situation, talks are also going on between the leaders of both the parties to form the government. In the year 2022, when Imran Khan’s government was voted out of power after losing the no-confidence vote, even then PML-N and PPP had formed an alliance and formed a government, which It was led by Shahbaz Sharif. Now it remains to be seen whether there is an alliance between the parties of Bilawal and Nawaz or not. If it happens, what formula will emerge?
