Imran Khan’s party was raising funds online in Pakistan, internet came to a standstill

Imran Khan News: Imran Khan is in jail these days. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party is trying to raise party funds for the upcoming general elections. Amidst these efforts, Imran has suffered a major setback. “Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI was about to launch a virtual fundraiser but before that, its campaign was affected when the internet went down across the country. This is the second setback for the party in a month.

Imran’s party PTI has alleged that earlier also the internet was shut down across the country before a party program. The same has been done this time also. This time also people were not able to use social media platforms. Internet and social media applications have once again been affected on a large scale in Pakistan.

Internet users across the country complained

Internet users across the country have complained that they were facing problems in using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, streaming etc. Coincidentally, the internet went down in Pakistan at a time when former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI was about to launch a virtual fundraiser to raise funds online. A nation-wide disruption was observed on social media platforms in Pakistan, including Live Metrix X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported. Last month, a similar incident of internet down was reported by PTI during a virtual power show.

Let us tell you that PTI was going to launch a virtual fundraiser to raise funds online on January 7 at 9 pm, but around 6 pm, people in different parts of the country started facing difficulty in using the internet. Many people complained that they were not able to use the internet and many social media apps.

Pakistani government came under attack

PTI leaders and supporters on internet down alleged that the caretaker government of Pakistan is doing this to suppress their party. On ‘X’, PTI said, this is absolutely shameful. The acting IT Minister should resign for this continuous loss being caused to Pakistanis.
