The Islamabad High Court on Thursday asked ISI chief Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum to submit a report on whether an audio clip of a telephone conversation between former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and her lawyer Latif Khosa was purportedly leaked. The court also asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to conduct a forensic examination of the clip of the conversation between Bushra Bibi and her lawyer to find out from where it was released, Geo News reported.
Justice Babar Sattar issued the order while hearing a petition filed by Khosa against the leaking of audio of the conversation between him and his client. Justice Sattar also directed a copy of the petition to be sent to Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General Anjum and sought a report from the ISI chief on who was behind the audio leak.

The court also issued notices to the FIA, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) seeking their response on the matter. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 11. Justice Sattar, during the hearing on Thursday, questioned how private conversations of people were being broadcast on television channels. An audio clip of a telephone conversation between Imran Khan’s wife and his lawyer has surfaced on social media, indicating that all is not well in his family while the former Pakistan prime minister is in jail.
