Seeing the growing friendship between India and Brazil, the two main contenders for permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), China’s mood is getting worse. Meanwhile, India and Brazil held the first ‘two plus two’ defense and foreign ministerial talks in New Delhi on Thursday. Due to this, enemies like China have started getting worried.

India and Brazil discussed ways to increase cooperation in energy, critical minerals, technology and counter-terrorism. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that various important areas of cooperation were discussed in the talks. “Defence, space, energy, critical minerals, technology, counter-terrorism and other issues of regional, multilateral and mutual interest were discussed,” he said on social media platform ‘X’. This conversation took place in Delhi.

This two plus two dialogue between India and Brazil was co-chaired by GV Srinivas, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Vishvesh Negi, Joint Secretary in the Defense Ministry.
