India is saddened by the death of more than 100 people waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza. The Indian External Affairs Ministry on Friday said it was “deeply shocked” by the loss of lives in northern Gaza during the delivery of humanitarian aid. India also called for safe and timely delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. The Foreign Ministry said, “We again call for the safe and timely delivery of humanitarian aid.” However, the statement made no mention of Israel. More than 100 people have been killed and more than 700 injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire on a large crowd of Palestinians trying to take food from a humanitarian aid convoy in Gaza, according to reports.
United Nations condemned the incident
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned this incident. “I condemn the events that took place in Gaza on Thursday, in which more than 100 people were reportedly killed or injured while seeking life-saving assistance,” he posted on Twitter.
