India on Women Empowerment: Many important steps are being taken in India regarding women empowerment. India’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, said this. He explained how gender justice can be ensured in the society. The Indian Mission in the UN organized a special programme. The status of women was discussed in this. During this, Indian representative Kamboj said that India will become a developed country by 2047 and this will be possible through women empowerment.

During the program, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ruchira Kamboj said that a multifaceted strategy is being prepared for women. In this, work is being done towards empowering women in the fields of health, security and employment. He said that this initiative is ensuring gender justice, equality and participation of women in the socio-economic-political and cultural sphere of India. The 68th annual meeting on the status of women in the United Nations began on March 11, which will continue till March 22. During this meeting, the Indian Mission informed about the steps being taken for women empowerment in India.

Even during his presidency of G20, PM Modi had said that a new era of women empowerment is beginning. Recently India had strongly condemned religious terrorism in the United Nations. India’s joint representative Ruchira Kamboj said that whether it is anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity or anti-Islam sentiment, India is against all.
Kamboj also spoke on attacks on temples and Gurudwaras
He said that anti-Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist sentiments have increased and attacks on monasteries, temples and Gurudwaras are taking place at many places. Kamboj said this during the discussion on the proposal on measures to deal with Islamophobia. He said that India respects all religions and looks at the whole world from the perspective of family.
