Indian Ambassador to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma has made a strong attack on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in response to a question asked by a Canadian channel. The Indian Ambassador said that Canada blamed India in the murder of Khalistani Hardeep Singh Nijjar without completing the investigation. He said that if Canada has anything concrete regarding its allegations regarding the murder of Hardeep Nijjar, then it should release its evidence. The Indian envoy said India would look into everything if any “very specific and relevant” facts are provided to support Justin Trudeau’s allegations.

Indian High Commissioner to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma has objected to blaming India without completing the investigation. In an interview with CTV news channel, the High Commissioner was asked about the allegations made by Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau on India in the killing of terrorist Hardeep Nijjar. Responding to this, Verma said, “There are two points on this. . One is that India was held guilty even before the investigation was completed. Is this the rule of law?” Asked how “India was held guilty”, the High Commissioner said, “Because India was asked to cooperate and if you look at the specific criminal terminology, when there is no cooperation If he asks you to cooperate, it means you have already been convicted and you had better cooperate.

If you have proof then bring it forward

The Indian envoy said that we have always said that if there is something very specific and relevant and it is told to us then we will look into it.” Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh was arrested on Canadian soil earlier this year by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Relations between India and Canada have been strained following allegations of India’s involvement in the murder of Nijjar, who was shot dead outside a gurudwara in Surrey, Canada on June 18. However, India has rejected the allegations. and called them “absurd and inspired”.

India resumes e-Visa service

A Canadian diplomat was expelled from New Delhi in a tit-for-tat move after Ottawa asked a senior Indian diplomat to leave. According to the Indian Foreign Ministry, Canada has not been able to present any evidence to prove its claims regarding the murder of Haredi. Earlier this week, India restarted electronic visa services for eligible Canadian citizens from November 22, 2023. This came after India last month decided to resume visa services in Canada for four categories after reviewing the security situation. In October, Canada recalled 41 diplomats from India and also halted its visa and consular services at the Chandigarh, Mumbai and Bengaluru consulates in the wake of the central government’s decision to snatch their immunity.
