Imran Khan News: Elections have been announced in Pakistan. All parties have geared up for the elections to be held in February. Nawab Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto are the candidates for the post of Prime Minister from their respective parties. Whereas former Prime Minister Imran Khan is in jail. His party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party i.e. ‘PTI’ is also making efforts to field candidates. But Imran Khan’s party has made a big allegation against the Pak intelligence agency. Imran Khan’s party claims that the intelligence agency is kidnapping his party’s candidates before the elections.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party on Friday claimed that intelligence agencies are openly torturing and kidnapping candidates supporting it ahead of the February 8 general elections. A spokesman for Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party said former Faisalabad MLA and party-backed candidate Khayal Ahmed Castro has been allegedly abducted by personnel of intelligence agencies.
Claim of kidnapping of PTI candidate outside the court
Faisalabad is about 130 kilometers from Lahore. A spokesman for Khan’s party said plainclothes men abducted Castro in front of cameras outside a district court in Faisalabad. Party general secretary Omar Ayub said, ‘Despite getting bail from the court, Castro was kidnapped by unknown people in broad daylight, which is highly condemnable.’
Lost election symbol ‘Balla’
Embattled Khan, his party, leaders and candidates supported by the party continue to face hurdles ahead of the February 8 general elections. The party has lost its election symbol ‘balla’. The nomination papers of Khan and other prominent leaders of his party have been rejected by the Election Commission. Khan and several other leaders, facing multiple cases, are lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. Ayub said, ‘Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate was kidnapped outside the court. This shows that there is no justice or rule of law in Pakistan because. There is no level playing field for Tehreek-e-Insaf.
